September 19 Teleconference Call with Dean Kate
On September 19, we are hosting a teleconference to provide updates on the Meat Science & Animal Biologics Discovery program at UW-Madison to donors, collaborators and other partners of the program. The teleconference will replace the previously scheduled grand opening for the Meat Science & Animal Biologics Discovery building which, as one of the most complicated buildings ever built by the state of Wisconsin, is experiencing construction delays.
While we are disappointed that the building opening will be delayed, we are working with officials from the state Division of Facilities Development and Management, UW System and UW-Madison on a schedule for completion and will provide more details about building plans during the teleconference. Because we expect this new building to serve the university and industry for decades to come, we are taking the time to get it right.
During the call, we will also provide updates on hiring of new faculty and staff within the Meat Science & Animal Biologics Discovery program. All faculty and staff, in cooperation with industry partners and other collaborators, are working diligently to prepare for the teaching, research and outreach that will occur in the new space.
It is a busy and exciting time. We are grateful for your ongoing support, and we look forward to the work we will do together in the future.
