This past Wednesday, the Wisconsin Beef Council announced its inaugural “Wisconsin’s Best Burger Contest”. The contest opens Monday, February 26, and nominations will be accepted until midnight on Sunday, March 24. In early April, undercover judges will visit the eight restaurants serving the eight most nominated burgers. The burgers will be evaluated using the criteria below, and a winner will be awarded 2024 Best Burger in Wisconsin on Wednesday, May 1.
- Taste (50 points)
- Appearance (30 points)
- Proper Doneness (10 points)
- Overall Enjoyment of the Burger (10 points)
- Eating Environment, Atmosphere and Experience (Up to 5 bonus points.)
